Roughworks
Founder, product & design
Free EdTech platform for Indian design entrance exams (UCEED, CEED, NID, NIFT). I founded Roughworks in March 2026 and am building it in the open.

I founded Roughworks in March 2026 and I am actively building it. roughworks.in is a free, ad-free, paywall-free practice platform for Indian students preparing for design entrance exams: UCEED, CEED, NID, and NIFT. The goal is simple. Help high school students see design as a real career path, not only doctor or engineer.
Why it exists
Roughly 100,000 students sit these exams every year. Most prep tools are expensive, noisy, or locked behind logins and upsells. Roughworks is the opposite. Over 1,200 past questions, timed mocks, and study analytics with zero friction. Practice without an account, or use one-tap Google sign-in to save progress and unlock the full dashboard.
Exam simulation
Timed mocks and past year papers run like the real thing. When a session ends, students get instant score breakdowns, per-section accuracy, and time analysis so they know what to fix next.

Study dashboard
The dashboard is a command center: practice streaks, topic mastery rings, mock history, and an AI-surfaced next best action so each session has a clear focus.

Drawing and community
Part B matters as much as Part A. Roughworks ships a library of drawing and sketching prompts. Students upload work, browse community submissions, and learn from how others approach the same brief.

Guides and access
We publish data-driven guides on exam patterns, cutoffs, and syllabi using nine years of historical data so students understand how each test actually behaves. No ads, no paywalls, no dark patterns. Just practice that respects their time.
